I have friends with babies who said my 1 year old should only need one 2 or 2 1/2 hour nap a day.

I cut out his morning nap and let him nap mid day. He's been waking up at night, crying intently (choking on his snot, etc.) but it seems he just wants to get out of bed to play. Sometimes he will settle for a little milk. Once he goes back down, he'll sleep in until 9am... when usually he would be up by 7am.

I'm wondering if this is just a teething/milestone thing... or if I've been too quick to cut out the morning nap?

Thoughts? Success stories??? haha.
