Wedding Planning

Taylor • I love babies and animals. I plan to teach kindergarten and reform the US’s education system.

We’ve set the date for the big ceremony/reception as May 15, 2020. I’m thinking, this is great. I don’t even have to start planning until like January!

Then fiancé starts telling his friends about it and asking them to be bridesmaids/groomsmen. And I tell my aunt the date and she’s like, “oh you gotta start looking at venues! They’re gonna fill up fast!” And now I’m already stressed 😅 and becoming obsessed with looking at things.

We know that the colors are going to be blush and chocolate, with green and silver as accent colors. We want the ceremony to be somewhere with lots of greenery, like forest-y. Like this:

But we’re in SoCal and the mountain areas here are expensive af. We are thinking about you to Colorado, where we eventually want to move to. We can have it less expansively there, but then have to factor in travel costs. Anyways.

Heres what I want for bridesmaid dresses:

Probably not lace though. I want to find something that would be flattering on the multitude of body types in my party, so the a-line And short works along with convertible being a must. I also wanted it to be affordable and something the ladies could wear again.

And for my two nieces who will be flower girls, I’m thinking something like this:

Nice and traditional. Also going to try and make it something in expensive since my sister will have to get 3 dresses and her sons tux (our ring bearer). Obviously going to offer to help pay if she needs it.

What do you guys think? Should we be touring venues already? Any good sites/stores you think I should check out to find good dresses for my bridesmaids?

As for my own dress? No effing clue 😭😂
