Too much Folic Acid?

I was told to take Prenatals and a separate Folic Acid. My prenatal has 800mg and so does the prenatal. Could I be taking too much?

Unless I read your post wrong are you taking two prenatal vitamins? Anyways this is what this app told me so just 800 should be fine. Mine have 800 in them.

Ok. Haven't seen a doc yet but I'll hold off on the Folic Acid supplement until I do and just take the Prenatals that already have it in there

I'm taking a prenatal plus 1mg of folic. Some medications can be counteracted with folic during pregnancy. So if your doc told you to take prenatals and gave you an rx for folic, that might be why. If you have concerns call them. It is possible to get too much though and it can hide symptoms of nerve damage. So you should only take what your doctor recommends.
