Who should i take in delivery room?!

Question

I have a very big family!! They all want to be w me in delivery room!! Some of them telling me they wont forgive me if they not in room w me!!

My cousin (4 of them) 
My aunt
My mother in law 
My mom 
My best friend!!

My husband is the only one that does not want to be w me bec he can faint if he saw surgery or some blood or anything like that

Advice please!?

If it's gonna cause that big of an issue, I'd just have hubby there and that's it.

I'm sorry, he doesn't get a choice, he made that baby, he has to be in there. This isn't 1950.

The fact that you have a million random family members that want to be in the room and your husband doesn't want to be is just unbelievable to me. To me, he should be the ONLY one in the room. Squeamish or not, he put that baby there and he should be there to support you. That's just absurd.

If I were you I'd either have my husband only or mom and husband and tell everyone else tough luck. You're giving birth, not performing some sideshow act for their entertainment.

I find it hard to believe your husband doesn't want to witness the birth of his child.  I think you would both regret it if he wasn't there.  If he gets queasy he can always sit down.  This is our third and it has always just been the two of us in the delivery room.  After its a big party and everyone is welcome.  It's such a beautiful moment for a couple something you'll remember forever.

Your husband should be the #1 person asking for a spot in the L/D room, considering it's his wife delivering his child. I would talk to him about it again. He may regret not being there for you. Other than him, choose 1 other person who will be the most supportive and make you feel the most comfortable and cared for during the process. While you're giving birth you're not going to worry about anyone's comfort but your own. Don't worry about hurting other people's feeling - this day is about you and the baby you're delivering.

My hubby ended up in the floor but he wouldn't have missed it for the world. He cried holding his daughter for the first time and got to cut the cord. I had my husband, mom, and sister. I could've have made it without that combo. It's not a show or movie for entertainment. It's an exhausting process who you need a support system for.

Only take people i  who youre comfortable with being in there with you. This is your labor and your baby. Its not up to them if they get to be in there and if theyre not then they have no reason to not forgive you. Its your day not theirs so you dont need to please them. I feel like if you had that many people in there you would feel very crowded and it wouldnt be a very good experience. The only people im having in with me is my husband and both our moms and anyone else can sit in the waiting room wait to come to the hospital til they get the call that shes out.

They can cheer from the waiting room or take turns coming in to visit if you feel up to that. I am only allowed 2 in the room and want more than that there. Family should understand.  Plus where I am delivering the nurses will be the bad guy and tell everyone to get out once its to many people so I wont be to blame :) Good luck with the hubby situtation. I dont NEED my husband in there but he wants to be there. I told him not to look though lol and if the Dr tell him to look he has to tell her hes not allowed hee hee. This is my 3 baby but his first. Somethings I think are just best left unseen. And less embarrassing for me. I know its natural but so is pooping and I dont do that infront of him either. Even when in labor I go do that in the bathroom before I am too far dilated or get an epidural. Lol
