Traveling at 35 weeks? Beach trip, 3 hour drive

My in laws rented a house for a week at a beach about 3 hours away. It’ll be in September, when I’m 35 weeks or so. I’d love to make plans to go but not sure if that’s too close to having baby and not sure if I’ll be feeling terrible at that point. Should I plan for it or skip it?

I think you should be fine. But I would talk to your doctor and see how he/she feels as you get closer. If you haven't had any complications so far I wouldn't see why not. I'm 34 weeks now and next week we are going on a trip for a few days and it's about a 2.5 hour drive. Dr said it's fine.

My doctor advised me not to travel very far past 34 weeks in case of preterm labor, but some doctors say 36 weeks. Talk to your doctor and see what they recommend, I imagine 3 hours shouldn’t be to much of a concern but it’s always better to make sure!
