I can’t believe he left

Sa

Woke up at 5 this morning with a massive UTI. I’ve had them before but nothing like this. The 15th my doctor let me drop off a urine sample because I was experiencing the usual burning and constantly peeing symptoms. The analysis said it was a UTI but on Monday they said the culture didn’t show anything so stop taking the antibiotics if the symptoms were gone. So I did.

I’ve been peeing nonstop since 5 and in so much pain I’m crying. Hubby wakes up and I tell him what’s going on. He says “okay I’m gonna eat breakfast and come sit with you.” So I run myself a bath and sit in it. At this point I’m noticing each time I pee there’s a tint to it so I know there’s blood in it. I’m crying and hubby comes in and calls the doctors office, they don’t open till 9 today. He then tells me “well I gotta leave” I look at him and ask “for what?!” And he says “I gotta go to work”. I know I shouldn’t be but I’m so mad at him. I don’t him how I’m going to get to the doctor as I can’t stop peeing and he left for work. I’m sitting in the tub trying to focus on something else and stop the pain.

He’s usually super sympathetic and today he’s just like “eh what can you do?”

Edit: I know he can’t call off just because I’m sick. I get that completely. I was just taken back by the fact that we have a 9 appointment that was already scheduled for today and he said he was going into work after the appointment. I thought he was gonna be home and then I find out between painful urinations that he’s leaving to go in before the appointment. Plus I don’t get gradual UTIs, I get sudden, extremely painful ones that cripple me. So I was surprised by how casual he was.
