Early gender surprise!
I don't generally post but I'm just so excited and this was a topic I was always searching for so I wanted to put a post out there for anyone else that is in the same situation. 😁
I have three girls who I adore and when I found out I was pregnant again (unexpectedly at almost 40) I figured it would be another girl at first, but I swear this pregnancy has been different. My husband says I'm crazy but seriously just different cravings, different aversions, just really super exhausted and all that so I started wondering, could it be a boy? Or is it just me being olddddddd, haha?!?
I was all about being team green. We did not wait for our other girls and always knew super early through Panorama cuz I've been advanced maternal age all of my pregnancies. My husband was not wanting to wait, at all. I started going back and forth just because my symptoms were so diff this time and I just wanted to know!
We got Panorama again but I told them I wasn't sure I wanted to know sex when they called so they marked that i didn't want to know. Blood was drawn at 10wk 3 days which is a little early but we are moving for a new job soon and it was just how timing worked out. I knew there was a chance it was too early and I may need a repeat and all that but my doc was confident it would work out.
So the doc office called me yesterday and I'm at work and I was already kinda freaking out just hoping DNA stuff was ok given my age. I was so relieved that the baby was low risk for everything when she asked if I wanted to know the sex I just blurted out YES and she said ... it's a boy! And I was like what? That's not right did you say boy? I made her repeat it like three times. Haha, I was pretty ridiculous making her tell me so many times and must have looked cray cray at work when I walked back in just due to relief and surprise.
So, yes it looks like I am having BOY after three girls!!! We are thrilled of course but I am mostly just relieved that the baby is low risk for chromosomal abnormalities and things are looking good so far given my age. Woot woot!
