When am I gonna get a ultrasound!?

I’m 15 weeks tomorrow and they’re not letting me get my first ultrasound until 21 weeks! This is my first pregnancy I wanna see my baby I wanna hear the heartbeat I wanna have multiple ultrasound pics from beginning to end but they’re ruining that :/ what can I do about it? Is there somewhere i can go to get one before 21 weeks

I had one at 5 weeks. another one at 8 weeks and the next one is already planned at 12 weeks. 21 weeks seems like a very long time to not have had an ultrasound yet.

I would definitely go to a private ultrasound place. I went at 11 weeks and it was absolutely amazing. I got a little stuffed animal with my babies heartbeat in it and got 20 ultrasound pictures and they were so good! Also have a good 5 minutes on video (on my phone) of baby just moving and flipping around. All for 60$ and I live in Illinois.

Then you should have checked with them on ultrasounds before you got this far in. Some offices don’t do them til 20 weeks and that’s it. Some offices (like mine) do one first trimester, and one at 20 weeks and then one in 3rd trimester if you’re measuring big.

if you are having no complications you will mostly just get 2ultrasounds with my second one i got an ultrasound done at 20weeks and 36weeks that was it. but you can go get a private scan and pay out of pocket

I had an ultrasound at my first OB appointment with my little boy. I was only 7 weeks. We have a place here called Baby Belly that does elective ultrasounds! Hopefully you can find somewhere!

You can pay for elective ultrasounds depending on where you live. Google to see if there’s any in your area, they usually cost between $100-150
