So my husband originally did not want to be in the room with me during birth. So my friend volunteered and actually asked if she could be in there. She said she always wanted to see a live birth, etc. now she is a close friend so I said yes of course especially if my hubby won't be there. Well my husband has since changed his mind and he will be present during birth. I am planning a natural birth so I can use all of the support I can get.. Now the closer I am getting to birth the more I am wondering if I really want my friend to be there. I mean especially since hubby said he will be there I think I would rather it be just the two of us. Plus I keep thinking that my friend wants to be there just to see a live birth and not for any other reason. I know she has been very excited and thankful that I have consented to her being there. She has even asked me at first if I was sure it's what I wanted and I assured her it was. I don't know what to do now. I don't want to hurt her ( she's verryyyyyy sensitive!) and tell her I changed my mind. At the other end im thinking maybe it will be good to have her there so my hubby won't feel alone and scared. Do you ladies have any advice on what I should do? Have you had a friend + SO and how did it go? Thanks!
