New baby expenses ?

FTM, due next month. What did YOU honestly NEED for baby's first months? I know milk is a must but I plan on breast feeding btw.

Diapers, of course... But I also went through a lot of laundry detergent... Between spit up on clothes, burp rags, and blankets there is a lot that needs washing and it isn't a good idea to let it set overnight.

Everything everyone else said and also I found mittens were a good idea. But you can find outfits with mittens already. Breast pads for leaking, breast pump if you plan on going to work or out..

enough outfits/pajamas to last you *insert how often you are willing to do laundry*
Place to sleep
Lactating boobs/formula and bottles

That's pretty much it. Babies don't actually NEED that much. Also you *should* have a thermometer, but you can use any digital under the arm or rectally, so you don't need an expensive ear one, they're like $3 at the drug store, and fingernail clippers, but you don't need baby ones and I'm sure you have some in your home already. Just make sure to clearly mark the rectal thermometer if you choose to take baby's temp that way!
