Baptism where??

Question

I know that most baptisms occur in a church, but what are yalls thoughts on Baptisms done in the ocean at the beach or in a Lake that your family has reunions at. I really thought about it and I’d like to get baptized at the beach that I grew up at, just not sure if that’s realistic. Thank you for any advice !!

Baptism does not have to take place in a church. I've been to baptisms in rivers and lakes. They're pretty neat and, bonus, scripturally accurate, as John the Baptist baptized people in the Jordan River. The most important part is that you are making a public declaration of your faith, as commanded in the Bible, so go for it! God isn't going to give you spiritual demerits if you get baptized in the ocean instead of in a church. ☺️

I got baptized in a church, but I think the Ocean would be an awesome place to do it! People get baptized in rivers and lakes all the time and if the ocean is sentimental to you then I say go for it! The main focus here is that you’ve accepted Jesus Christ into you’re heart. Congrats! 🙌🏻🐠🦀🐬🌊💒
