Is anyone else TERRIFIED of giving birth?

I am absolutely HORRIFIED of giving birth... I'm 15 & my worst fear is having any type of surgery. A c section would scare the life out of me... But I feel like I'm not gonna be able to push my baby girl out 😭 I feel like I'm just gonna freak out & try to keep her in longer.. 😫 I just watched a girl giving birth & she was pushing & I don't think I can push a baby out of me. I'm obviously gonna try my best because I'm scared shitless of surgery... But I don't know. I'm so scared 😭😭😭 anyone have any tips of how to make it easier for me?

You will get to a point where you will want to push. Don't worry your body was meant to do this.

To be truthful when the contractions start they start off very very mild and by that time you stop thinking about the horror of it and you just go with whats going on

I was scared first time. I think everyone is! I read Birthing From Within. It was a great help. It goes through natural birth and how to trust your body but also goes through what to do when things go wrong. It was the best explanation of epidural and c section I've read. 
You have a lot of strength and determination, you can canal that toward getting your baby into your arms.

My heart races when i think about labor. I don't handle pain well at all. I'm freaking out 😦

If you haven't already you could probably benefit from going to birthing classes. Learn how to manage pain through breathing. Are you gonna have somebody there with you at the birth?

Read as much as you can about giving birth. The more you understand the things that will happen the less scared you will feel.

This is my second time, but with my first I was really excited to experience giving birth for the first time, but like you, I was terrified of having to have a c-section. If you're worried about the pain, you can always ask for the epidural. Also, you can try things like learning Hypnobirthing I honestly don't know too much about it but I've heard that it's supposed to help you have a very relaxing natural birth if that's your goal, but I'm sure it would help either route you go. This time around, I'm scared only because I'm higher risk and my drs are almost positive I may have to have a c-section this time, but at 35weeks, which is also another concern for me. My first was a few weeks early and I desperately wanted to get to 40+weeks.

I really loved "Ina May's Guide to Chilbirth". The book is half full of birth stories and reading them was amazing. It really helped to learn about these really positive birth experiences that are totally possible. 
Try to find it at your library :)
Also, "Birthing From Within" is another awesome book. It doesn't sugar coat the experience, but it really makes you feel like you can do it too.

Our bodies are absolutely evolved to have babies, so yours will totally do a great job at giving birth to your baby!
