My stupid co-worker

My husband and I just sent in all the paper work to adopt from Vietnam! (A place and people that have always been on our heart.)

My co worker went on a rant about how selfish it is to not be adopting children from America, that we should be taking are of our “own.” I asked him if children in other countries are less deserving of love and a good home. He grumbled some more, but I didn’t hear anything because I was so close to committing 2nd degree murder. NEEDED TO RANT

Just remember adoption is a business. Some countries mislead parents by telling them they’ll have a better life but will come back to them later so the adoption agencies have healthy kids to earn money from the adoption as well as costs to sustain them while the adoption process is happening. Of course, those parents never see their kids again. Just try to research as much as you can. Unfortunately, well meaning adoptive parents could still not get the full story about the shady practices of these businesses. It’s so sad.

Yea after hearing about what’s happening in Guatemala and other countries there really needs to be more research. There are so many children getting stolen from their parents, it’s horrible.
