Primrose oil and raspberry leaf tea?

I’ve heard of you drink raspberry leaf tea and evening primrose oil that there will be benefits for labor? Is this true and is it safe and or has anyone been drinking the tea and or have taken the primrose oil pills?

With my dr I started doing both at 37 weeks. I was drinking 2 cups a tea a day and takin one EPRO pill orally and inserting one vaginally. I delivered my daughter at 39+5 after a 2.5 hour labor and 5 minutes of pushing. Idk if it was either of those that made my labor so quick and easy but I will definitely be doing them again this pregnancy. 
It was all approved by my midwife and OB

My sister drank the tea before her labour and had a good water birth. She also did perineal massage which I feel had the greatest benefit 
We’re doing perineal massage (didn’t with my first and had a third degree tear!) and I’m taking raspberry leaf capsules and EPO. Don’t know yet how things will turn out but will find out in a few weeks !
