What could this be? Has anyone else felt this?

Joetta

I’m 33 weeks pregnant. I have been getting dizzy spells and feeling weak as if I could just collapse. I came in to work as usual at 7:00pm (I work 12 hour night shifts). I was getting my client’s medications ready to take. I was feeling a bit weak and out of breath just sitting at the dinning room table. After walking around giving the clients their medications I went to the kitchen to throw the med cups away. On the way back to the dinning area I had tripped/stumbled and almost fell to the floor. My coworker asked if I was ok and told me to sit down. Then I checked my blood sugar and it was normal as can be, no issues there.

Fast forwarding to now, 11:00pm. All the clients had long gone to bed so I was just chilling on the couch on my phone to keep me awake as I normally do. As I was sitting there I started to feel a pain (felt like a side camp) in my lower abdomen followed shortly by a Braxton Hick’s Contraction. When I switched positions the sharp pain went away, but the Braxton Hick’s went on for another 45 seconds or so. I’m not sure what to think of this....I’d call my doctor but obviously they are closed and I cannot go to the ER because I cannot abandon my clients or I get fired. My boss is already in bed because she works in her office during the day, so I cannot call her either.

Any suggestions on what any of this could mean or if any of you have experienced this it would be great to know. I do plan on telling my doctor when I go in for my weekly glucose test on Monday morning. lol

Little bit of back story...

I have been diagnosed with gestational diabetes recently, and I check my own blood sugar 4 times daily while taking medication. Every Monday I go get my blood drawn twice for glucose testing, and I have to do this until the baby is born. They also hook me up to monitors every Monday while there for about 20 minutes to monitor the baby’s heartbeat. Earlier in my pregnancy I had high blood pressure problems during one of my visits, so they had asked me to come back that very next week instead of waiting a month. My blood pressure was normal the second time around. So far I’ve only gained 14 pounds this entire pregnancy. At my second doctor visit at the beginning I had actually lost a pound or so. My eating habits are not an issue though, I can promise you that.

I have had 2 children already in the past. It’s been almost 8 years since having my last one though. This pregnancy is completely different than my first two, symptoms, weight gain, and all.
