When should we get married?

My boyfriend is joining the marines; and we have to be married for me to go with him when he gets stationed somewhere. So when would be the best time to do that?

You don't HAVE to get married.

Don't get married just because he's joining the military and will move away. Lord this is the BIG mistake everyone makes. If you want or go, you will make it work, you don't need to get married.

You DO NOT HAVE TO GET married just because he's going the military. You could either follow him or have ldr which isn't the isn't but just because you're with someone who's going or in the military doesn't mean you need to get married. Plus depending on where he get stationed you may not be able to go just keep that in mind.

I followed my boyfriend (who is in the AF) from England back to the states and we didn't  get married. We are living together off base and have been for almost a year. You don't need to get married to stay together :)

You don't have to get married. You can just move in with him wherever he gets stationed. The only issue is finding a house within bah outside of post.

You don't HAVE to get married. My hubs and I got married right after boot camp because it was what we both wanted. I stayed with my mom while I finished high school and he finished his MOS schooling (it was over a year long). I moved with him 2 months after I graduated and he had been stationed for almost a year. It's up to you, but you don't NEED to be married. We just didn't want to wait any longer so we did 😂

doesnt matter, what ever feels right for YOU TWO. ive know pleanty who have gotten married BEFORE leaving to boot, but us we waited till AFTER boot, just to get a feel for the new experience & make sure its what WE really wanted.. soooo talk BEFORE he leaves .. & good luck to the both of you during boot !!

Don't get married just yet. Get married after all his training and once he gets to his duty station. My BF has been in the Marines for 3yrs and we haven't gotten married yet. I live near base only cuz I grew up in a Marine Corps household so I live near base ( like 55/60 miles away)
