Anyone have a successful VBAC after getting preeclampsia the first time?
Hello ladies. Currently 17.5 weeks with #2 and thinking a lot about having a VBAC. With my first, I developed preeclampsia at 36 weeks and was put on magnesium which resulted in me having to stay in bed from the moment I was admitted. After pitocin and almost 22 hours of labor, I failed to progress at 7 cm, my kidneys were shutting down, and I had to have a csection. I really desire a VBAC this time as my daughter will be a little over 2 when this one is born and I strongly desire a quicker recovery- and just a healing experience all together. My previous labor was a horror story, honestly. And it broke my heart. I’ve been trying my hardest to be healthier this time, have been exercising when I have energy (lol, not too often but more than my last pregnancy), and started taking baby aspirin as recommended by my doctor. I’ve already been told if I develop preeclampsia again, a VBAC won’t be an option because my doctor doesn’t induce for a VBAC. Anyone have encouraging stories they’ve heard or experienced? Or tips of any kind? Very open to any words of wisdom!! ❤️
