My unexpected birth story

So I was thinking my whole pregnancy I was gonna go into labor early. But 40 weeks had past and I was 3cms dilated but nothing else was going on. I was done being pregnant, So I went to my weekly drs visit and she said she had scheduled for me to be induced that Thursday the 28th. On Wednesday my husband had to work that night and I was letting him get some rest before he had to leave. 5 minutes before he had to get up and leave 9:00pm BAM my water broke while I was peeing.. so I went and woke him and he called work and I called the hospital.

We get there and go in they check a bunch of stuff and then we get a room right away and we start the waiting game to see if I’m gonna start having contractions. So it’s about 1:00am and they give me pitocin and for the longest time I didn’t really feel anything so they kept turning it up little by little. I was able to get some rest and woke up around 8:00am feeling a little bit of contractions about 6 on the pain scale. So I asked the nurse if I wanted the epidural now would it take a while to get it. She said no it will be right away. So I said I’ll wait. An hour later I told her I wanted it and she asked me my pain and I told her about a 7 and she decided to give me some lower pain meds for now. I rested up a bit and it’s about 11:40am and I’m in some serious pain!!! It just keeps gettin so much worse! I told them I need an epidural now! Oh well the man who does it is currently in the operating room and it will be about an hour till he can get to me so I bare with it and wait .. I’m in freaking tears now and hating the freaking nurse who didn’t give it to me sooner! Those contractions were the worst things I’ve ever felt before I felt like I was dying ! Finally to guy came in to give me the epidural as he was taking his sweet ass time it felt like and I think I was getting real mean but I barely remember hahaha finally it starts to kick in and I feel much better and 2:00pm the nurse came in and check me and I was finally at a 10 and my dr came in right away and prepared and started to have me push and man that shit was hard. And I had my husband stand behind me because I definitely didn’t want him to see that haha but my beautiful baby boy was born 2:45pm June 27th weighing 8lbs12oz and I couldn’t be more in love!!! He was definitely worth the pain!!
