How did you know?

How did you know you were done having kids? I just had my second child May 5th.  We now have one of each.  My son is 2.5.  My husband is content with the two we have and I am as well. I have just always envisioned having more than 2 and I didn't go through my last pregnancy thinking about it as being my last so it makes me sad if we are done because I will miss the pregnancy stage.  I know we aren't set on not having anymore just yet, I'm just curious how people knew they were done having kids.  Did you feel like your family was complete?  Thanks in advance!

My husband wanted two. I am now unexpectedly pregnant with our third. Think this will be it. I’m 37 tomorrow. I think it’s time to call it quits after this blessing. Not only that, but my husband would have me struck down if we got pregnant with a fourth! 😂

We are about to have one of each as well. And my husband also is already saying how content he is. My parents were the same way after they had my sister and I but we had a tragedy in our family when I was 3 and my mom lost half her family. So then my parents decided to have my brother because our family had gotten so much smaller. I have decided to take it as it comes. My husband can’t deny me much so I know if I really want another baby and we can support 3 kids he will be ok with it

You just know. If you have any inclination that you maybe want one more, then you are not done! 
I knew I never wanted to be pregnant again, I knew I was not going to go through the baby stage again, and as much as my husband says one more, I just know I don’t want to. I’m so happy with my 2, and they are both girls and even if I thought I wanted a boy I’m at peace knowing I won’t have one. It’s a strong “nope, I’m done” feeling 😂 
But because my husband wants one more, we agreed to wait a full year before making it final (he’s hoping I’ll change my mind)

I would probably want another if my circumstances allowed for it but they probably never will, so I have to accept that I'm done having babies at 27. After a spinal injury laboring with my first, multiple surgeries and then baby #2 and another surgery around the bend, my body might not handle a 3rd. Between that and my ex leaving me while pregnant, I don't want 3 children with 3 different fathers. And I can firmly say I don't want any more kids with either of their dads, so... I'm tapping out. 💁

I am so happy to have read this! It’s exactly how I’ve been feeling lately!  We had my son 10 days after I turned 21 so he’s 6 now and we just had our 6 month old daughter. I am so thrilled to have one of each and my husband says we are done lol. But I could probably convince him otherwise eventually, maybe lol. My son wasn’t easy by any means (not colicky, just tough, and hated sleep) and now my daughter is a walk in the park! She is so easy! And I know we totally deserve this after having a tough first child lol. But I don’t feel done. I know financially 2 makes more sense, we both work full time, and we are lucky enough to have my mom helps us out the 3 days a week we need her. That would be too much for her with 3 kids. So pretty much if we have a 3rd I would have to quit my job or find other childcare. I was wondering if people ever felt “complete” once they had their “number” or if during your prime baby making ages, do you always want more?? Lol. 💙💗🍼💙💗🍼

I’ve always known that I only want two kids. We have our first baby (our little princess who is five months old) and will ttc baby #2 in three months (hoping for another girl but would be happy with a boy as well) and then we’re done! :)

I wanted 3 kids. I had 3 boys. I knew I’d be done and promptly tired my tubes. I don’t feel badly at all about tying them. I’m absolutely done having kids
