Does anyone else feel like the cervix check to see if you’re dilated is terrible?

My cervix checks had me screaming worse than the contractions when I was in labor. They were so painful..particularly because my cervix is very high and hidden. Felt like their whole arm was up there 😣

You don’t have to have cervix checks. I only had one because I asked at 41 weeks last pregnancy. Personally I think it’s better to not mess around up there.

I don’t feel like they hurt at all. It’s pressure, not pain for me.

I was expecting it to suck cause of other experience but mine wasn’t bad at all, didn’t hurt and only a small amount of pressure.

had one or two with my last pregnancy and it was uncomfortable but not painful.  must depend on cervix location etc or dr doing it maybe helps too...

Especially if your cervix is posterior! They have to really reach to find it and it isn't comfortable.

I was super nervous to have mine checked because I just assumed it would hurt, but I didn’t feel anything other than a VERY small amount of pressure right as she was going in. Other than that it didn’t feel like anything....

My doctor has only done one, and it was awful. She said I don't have to do any more until I'm in labor. She will only do another one if I ask her to, thank goodness!

My husband thought they’d be pleasurable but then he witnessed one at my last appointment and realized why we don’t enjoy them, lol.
