Swimming after giving birth

So 2 weeks ago I gave birth to my sweet baby girl. I have a 2nd degree tear with 28 stitches. We have a float trip coming up this following weekend when I will be 3 weeks PP. Is it okay to go swimming? We paid for this trip a year ago and of course we weren't pregnant at the time but it's non refundable. just trying to figure out if I have to stay in the canoe or not :)
