Tampons loosening you

I know it’s a stupid question, but can tampons stretch your vagina when they’re hanging low?

I think I have a short canal cuz I always push it up the most I can and it ends up falling towards the bottom and it hurts. Since it’s for a long period of time I think it might be stretching me. And I noticed I’m more loose now.. I was thinking that might be the cause. Someone who is 100% positive tell me I’m wrong 😰
