Induction - Curious FTM

I’m 37 weeks with my first baby and at my last appointment they checked me and said I was 75% effaced and she was head down and very low, but I was not dilated. Which was perfectly fine with my doctor. They were concerned about my baby girl’s measurements and the fact that I had lost some weight and fluid, so they did an ultrasound to check her and the fluid out. Turns out the fluid was perfect and she was measuring about 6lbs 8 oz at my 36 week appointment. 😱 My husband and I were both small babies (like 6 lbs) so I was shocked to hear that. Lol

I was wondering if anyone has any experience with getting induced with their first pregnancy? I’ve heard they don’t like to do that, but I’d like to avoid a c-section if possible and I’m afraid she will be too big if we wait.
