Advice needed: Kinley has an awful reaction to mosquito bites that last for days! 😔 Any tips on what we can use to help with this?

My daughter is allergic to mosquito bites & she gets soooo bad .  You can apply Benadryl cream to help with the itching

That's how my 4 year old used to get. We used Benadryl cream and also the aveeno oatmeal baths. She outgrew it after she was like 2.

If you use Benadryl or hydrocortisone please be careful and make sure the baby doesn’t stick the covered area in its mouth. Its not safe to eat. I was going to try the same thing for my daughter but was told not to by her doctor because it’s not safe if put in the mouth. Just trying to help you out and make you aware.

😔 poor lady. Ask your pediatrician about a cream she can use. If this is at your house you can look into plants that help repel mosquitoes such as lemongrass, marigolds, lavender and catnip (don't do if you have stray cats in your area)

It’s normal in children under 5, it’s not considered a true allergy unless it persists after that because it’s so common. We eventually develop an immunity to the irritant in mosquito bites. My son gets them pretty bad too, we use a service called Mosquito Joe every 3 weeks that does a spray around our yard and we don’t get mosquitos at least where he plays most often... but obviously that doesn’t prevent them everywhere else in the world.
