Any pregnant CNA’S here?

I’m 8 weeks . Sometimes this job makes me nervous with the lifting , the combative patients , and the isolation rooms. Any advice ? To calm my nerves

I'm an ER tech and the protocol at my hospital is that anyone pregnant cannot have any pts that are there for mental health. Also if they are on precautions. you can say no to going in those rooms. 
Just use your best judgment and if you dont feel comfortable doing something then dont. Usually your coworkers will step up and help you out when your pregnant.

I am a home health aid and I am this close 👌🏾to quitting. Since it’s summer, seems like every patient I go to don’t like to turn the A.C on and my body overheats and I look like I am running a marathon by the time I leave. At the moment I don’t do any heavy lifting and don’t plan to. My patient I’m dealing with currently stresses me out so much, I tried telling my supervisor and all he said was “ you have one more week, just stick it out” I remember the first time I told him I was pregnant, and a couple weeks later he turns around and says he has no recollection of me stating that I’m pregnant.

I’m a cna at a peds hospital. My co workers don’t let me deal any lifting with the heavy teenagers or combative ones. My manager tells me to rest all the time

I’m a pregnant nurse in the ER, I have similar concerns but as a CNA especially on the floor you do a lot more lifting and turning patients but practice safe lifting techniques and use help as much as possible. I told my manager very early on but that just depends on what type of relationship you have with your manager and I told all my coworkers after my first ultrasound after 10 weeks and everyone has been very supportive and helpful when it comes to heavy or combative patients. It’s hard in healthcare to have the mindset of putting yourself first but you have to take care of yourself and your little one first before taking care of others.

I’m a CNA. I am not doing any heavy lifting. I always call for an assist. Stay away from anyone who is sick or infectious. Baby is #1 priority right now
