So I’m currently on a meditation for epilepsy that is known to cause birth defects. I’m hoping to get off of it soon (my husband and I really want to have a baby in a year or so) but in the meantime, I’m on the pill and he’s using condoms. Neither of us really like the condoms because it feels different, so I talked to my sister-in-law and she’s using the IUD and loves it.

I’ve just heard mixed opinions on the iud and I wanted to hear more about it. It’s supposed to be a more effective method than the pill, and the medicine I’m on now makes the pill less effective anyway.
