3 choices and I don’t know which to choose!!!
Okayyyy so here we go:
I moved to England last year for my boyfriend. The year wasn’t great and we broke up, but I stayed because I had already moved all my stuff here.
However, I love living in England, so I’m going to start fresh at grad school here this Fall.
But I have NO idea which school to choose.
1) School #1. In a city that is FAMOUS for its music scene (my Degree will be in that field), is SO fun (always something to do, fun nights out, new places to try), but is SOOOOO ugly. I can’t imagine myself living there but I know the program here will give me the best degree/experience/connections.
2) School #2. In my favorite city in England, but it’s a bit smaller and I’m worried I’ll get bored there after a while. Also, the degree isn’t as good. Still a music-y city, though, but not nearly as much as School #1. Gorgeous city. I feel such a connection to it.
3) School #3. In the city I lived in with my boyfriend, which I finally started liking after we broke up. I’d be excited to give it another chance, but I wonder if I should try somewhere new instead, especially since it might be more difficult to get a fresh start here excuse I’ll always see my ex’s friends around town. BUT their degree is the only one in the entire world that is SPECIFIC to what I want to do (but I also worry that might be a bit limiting, whereas the other two schools encompass ALL of Music Management and will give me more options if. Can’t find a job in the classical realm).
Thoughts?
Update:
Not naming the cities on purpose. So you can see the city how I see it (every single google search or person I talk to says #1, but I think I’m a lot different, especially since I’m not British).
Also, I already got my undergrad in music, but this one won’t be a performance based degree. Although I never left the practice room for my undergrad, we were all still very social when we got the chance. A social life is very important to me in a city that I live in!
