When are you informing your workplace of your pregnancy?

Hello! This is my second pregnancy but I didn’t work for my first. I’m curious when people actually inform their workplace of their pregnancy? I’m super nervous because my job is my baby and passing it over to someone is making me nervous! 
When if you haven’t already, would you let them know?

I will wait until the 12-week mark has passed. We aren’t telling anyone until then, so I won’t tell my boss before I tell my family. With my first pregnancy I did it the same way. I think I was 14 weeks when I informed my then boss. That being said, my  current job is a desk job. Women who do physical labor, work with kids, etc. often need to tell earlier because of certain restrictions that they have. At the same time, I too am looking forward to my team knowing because it will definitely make some things easier. But I don’t think the information will stay in my team only and if I were to lose the baby at an early stage it wouldn’t be something I would want everyone at work to know and talk about, which is why I will still wait until the 2nd trimester.

I'm a special education teacher, I'll inform my superintendent next week when summer school starts due to working with students who have physical/ aggressive behaviors. I'll be 10 weeks.

I told my boss a couple days after I found out since I work really closely with him I figured he would know that something was up with me. he congratulated me and asked if I was coming back after super chill I'm glad I told him as early as I did . he has been really understanding through my morning sickness and exhaustion

I let my job know the same week I found out. I know that pregnancy can have its complications. In my role someone would have to be thoroughly trained to step in and take over. So I’ve already started training someone once a week. It’s actually nice because she is helping me with my workload 💕 and can handle certain conference calls. As tired as I am these days I’ve had no trouble letting someone else take over...I’m no longer territorial over my job lol.

I’m 8 weeks tomorrow and just told my boss. I asked her to keep it from my co-workers, but most of them suspect already! I haven’t been feeling great and thought someone needed to know.

I'm from the UK and here most people wait until 12 weeks as that's when we get an NHS scan to check all is ok.

I had to tell work right away because I'm a heavy diesel mechanic.  I'm also glad I did because of the exhaustion and in my case all day sickness.

I told my boss right away. Our work schedule is pretty much as is. So because of appointments and things I had to tell her so I can make my appointments. Also, I work in collections and my job is super stressful and we have to be able to pick up 50 lbs almost every day. My doctor told me that I shouldn’t lift things that are that heavy. It depends on your job I personally think.

I’m lucky enough to have summers off (I work at a university.) I’ll be telling my boss when I return in the fall. Either August or September, I haven’t decided yet. Probably September, since that’s when the husband is telling his supervisor.

I’m planning to tell my work next week at a staff meeting so they all know at once rather than having to do one at a time to people. I wanted to wait a little longer, but the sickness is so bad and I’m showing so early. I’ll be almost 10 weeks when I share. I would’ve sooner, except I just started this job 4 weeks ago so I didn’t want to start my first day with, surprise I’m pregnant! Though I’ll be curious to find out if I have one or multiples because I may resign sooner as I do lots of lifting and bending and stair climbing. I teach 2 and 3 year olds in an upstairs classroom. Sadly can’t get any leave because I won’t be employed for at least a year before baby is born. Oh well, I have a slowly growing online teaching business so now I can fulfill my dream of staying home while also working!
