Irregular gestational sac and SC

Erica

So I’ve been trying for about a year and was so excited when I finally got my BFP. Unfortunately I ended up in the ER due to bleeding, but luckily it wasn’t a miscarriage and just a subchorionic hemorrhage. This was at barely 5 weeks. At 7 weeks I got another transvaginal ultrasound and now, on top of the 3mm hemorrhage, I also have an irregular gestational sac. I guess the border is not smooth from what the doctor explained. I do have a photo for anyone that cares to see the 7 week scan, but my question is... have any of you ladies heard of any success stories with both of these issues ? I’m trying not to panic over here or be negative but it’s so hard.

I got another ultrasound, this time abdominal, and I think it looks much more rounded out but the tech wouldn’t really tell me anything. Input?

My ultrasound scan at 6w 2d yesterday is showing the same issue. SCH with irregular gestational sac. Though heartbeat 124/min and growth 6w 1d looks fine. But my doctor said there is a 50% chance of miscarriage. My next scan is scheduled after 2 weeks which I feel like longest week of my life. Please let me know how are you girls doing?

I would always prepare for a miscarriage that early... but I only say that because I've had a few so I am happy but I just prepare for what could happen!

I realize this is an old thread, but wanted to see if everyone's pregnancies turned out okay. I had an ultrasound this past week and they said the embryo was measuring at 5+5 with a 110 heartbeat. The gestational sac was not looking good and didn't have crisp, defined edges and could mean a nonviable pregnancy. Nervous for another miscarriage. 😞

I’m going through the same! No clue how far along I was but at first scan they saw sac and yolk at 6 weeks. Went back at 7w3d and they saw a fetal pole and heart rate of 137, but said sac was irregular. I have pcos and 2 living children but this is my 7th pregnancy. Praying for my little peanut. Still having lots of morning sickness and no cramps or spotting so hoping all is well ❤️

What was the update with your sac? Did you have a successful pregnancy?

Hey thought I would throw my hat in the ring. Got an US today and heartbeat 117 at 6w1d measuring about right but unfortunately she said to prepare for mc due to it being so oval shaped. This is my 3rd pregnancy in a year with no living children :( nervous as all heck but they put me on a progesterone, folic acid and baby asprin regimen so hopefully my baby sticks!! Looking for some comfort as well!!

Ugh it’s so scary! I so hope you have a successful pregnancy. I can’t imagine having a miscarriage let alone multiple. But I was told to also be prepared as that is a possibility. I’ll be praying for ya girl.

the subchorionic hemerrage should be fine i had one and my dr said it didnt increase the chances of miscarrage, i have not heard of an irregular gestational sack though. what did the dr say about it?

that sounds really promising, the little bit i read made it sound like a heartbeat made for a promising outcome

Yeah I do, I had a heart beat of 142 at 7 weeks so I’m hoping for the best

Very interesting though did he give a reason as to why it's not smooth and shaped that way?
