husband forgot birthday?

how mad would you be if your husband forgot your birthday? things have been hectic, he switched jobs and our housing and car situation both went kablooey all at once. I dont care that we didnt do anything or that I didnt get a gift, but there was no "happy birthday" or a hug or anything

I mean, I’d be pretty damn mad, but I wouldn’t let him forget in the first place. Im one of those “MY BIRTHDAY IS SO EXCITING” people so he’d have to really be blind to forget. I can imagine if you don’t talk about it lots it’s possible to forget?

This past February on my birthday, my Boyfriend went all day without telling me happy birthday until it was time for me to go to sleep because I broke down crying and told him I had turned 22. I was more hurt than upset and halfway accepted him telling me he had a lot on his mind. I definitely won’t let him forget from now on because it’s not a good feeling at all. But happy birthday to you! 🎉🎈

If he forgot, I would be much less mad than I get at my bf who knows it’s coming, knows it’s important to me, and does literally nothing in preparation...just waits for the day to come and asks me if I want to do anything 😒 not even a card. No effort. Forgetting, I get. Laziness, I don’t.

I’d understand why (as you do) but still be upset. Maybe mention it the next weekend and say, “Maybe we can do dinner to celebrate my birthday.”
