Am I in labor?

Question

Hips and thighs on fire, period like cramps, back pain and rock hard belly. Everything hurts so it's hard to tell what are contractions and what is not. I'm 38 weeks and 3 days/ 1 cm dilated/70% effaced.

If you’re not having regular contractions, you’re probably not in labor. Many of your symptoms can happen toward the end and doesn’t always indicate that you’re in labor. I was 2 cm dilated with my first for over a month. Good luck, hon and I hope your baby comes soon!

I was told it's not labor until you have contractions 5 mins apart for an hour

It sounds exactly what I’ve going through. I’m 40w+1d and I’ve been dilated 1cm/75% for the past 3 weeks. I also feel the period like cramps, hard belly, etc. Doctor said when the real deal contractions start I’d know. 
That being said, my next appointment is Monday 😫, if nothing happens until then I’m going to ask my dr to induce me.
