So hurt rn should I dump him?

Please comment and/or vote bc I need advice. I'm on holidays and not in contact with any of my girl friends so I need my girls on here to give guidance. 
I've been with my Bf a year now and we're both 17. He's my first relationship but I'm not his. He's had a few girlfriends before me (like 8-10) and that's always been kinda hard for me to deal with. 
I told him I loved him 4 months into the relationship (we'd been close before we were official) and he said it back. What he's never told me is that he's told 3 of his previous girlfriends that he loved them. 
I found out yesterday and I'm still shocked. We've been together a year and we're so close and happy which is why I can't believe he wouldn't tell me. I've asked him about his past relationships but he's never really told me anything  When I asked why him and his most recent girlfriend broke up he told me "she stopped liking me". Never had the word "love" been used about any girl ever. 
The fact he didn't tell me hurts a lot (I thought we were each other's first loves (bit sappy I know but I liked that) but what made it so much worse is who he said it too. Side note: before me he has never gone further than kissing and he was me first kiss. We were both having firsts from 2nd base to home run. 
I'm fine if he's loved before but one of the girls he said it to, their relationship had been mostly texting and face timing, he only saw her in person 6 times. Not to mention that they were around 13-14. He's tried to tell me that he didn't mean it bc idk if that's better or worse. I don't know how he could say it if he didn't mean it and now it's meaningless when he says it to me. 
I'm really hurt bc he didn't tell me all this time, I had no idea there were girls before me. And it so bad too bc he barely even knew or cared for the girls so it seems like he'll just say he loves anyone. I won't believe it when he says it to me anymore and I dont think that's something I can get over.

I think you're overreacting. Many teens say they love their partner when they don't. You can always tell if the person means it though through their actions. Forget about his past relationships because that will only run your relationship into the ground.

You're rather young and so is your bf.  One thing about teenage boys, they say "I love you" at the drop of a hat.  So yeah, he probably did tell every other girl that too.  
But regardless, you are happy with him right?  So it DOESN'T MATTER what he said to some other girl last year.  Just get over it and be happy.

So how old was he when this was going on? Anything under 15 is really not a big deal and I think you are being a bit ridiculous being hung in this.

When I was 14 I told my BF at the time I loved him to prove to someone else he was really my bf, didn’t mean it in the slightest. Now I’m married to a man I met when I was 19 and tell him I love him and mean it totally, the words sound exactly the same though. If you love him you wouldn’t be so ready to dump his ass for saying something he didn’t to someone before you came along. And why does he need to give you every little detail of his previous relationships? Does it somehow improve yours to compare it to the ones before?

Girlie..you need to let the past be the past. It's not healthy to dwell on what was with someone else. Perhaps in hindsight he realizes that compared to your relationship, those other ones really weren't love and weren't really that serious. Plus he was 13! Maybe he said it becaise the girl did and it was awkward. Y'all are young and will likely love at least 1 or 2 more people in your lifetime. You are still growing as a person and maturing into adulthood. I've loved a few times in my life and I can truly say each time was different because the person was different. I grew from each one of those relationships and in my life so the love was more mature. If you keep drudging up the past and being hurt by things that you can't control, you may miss the wonderful stuff you have going on with him. Let it go.

Just because he loved his exes doesn’t mean anything. Most people have gone through the same thing with loving multiple people in the past. 
And whenever he said he didn’t mean it when he said he loved the ex he had at 13, it’s probably because he was 13. Someone that young doesn’t know what actual love is. That’s probably what he was referring to.
You’ve had him in your life for a long time, including a time period before dating. You’ve been many first experiences with him and that’s something special.

Think of it this way: Have you always truly known how powerful the phrase “I love you” is? Have you always known and appreciated its value? I sure as hell didn’t feel as strongly when I had my first boyfriend than when I met my husband. To my first boyfriend I said it because I thought it was something you said to your boyfriend, but when I met my husband I realized how strong the word “love” is, and I only said it when I truly felt it, because I actually did for the first time. So my point is, he might have said it before to other girls, but he was a young boy and possibly didn’t grasp what saying that meant, and now that he’s with you, it has a deeper meaning.

you can't be mad about something that happened before you guys were together  (within reason obviously). My SO has a past that's not that great relationship wise. But he's committed to me and that's all that matters
