Spotting instead of period?

Question

My period was due 7/3, and rather than start my full blown period (usually very heavy the first day), I’ve been barely spotting for 3 days. It hasn’t been enough for even a panty liner, only shows on the toilet paper SOMETIMES, and it’s a pale pink color. It also sometimes accompanied with EWCM. Any one experience this & have an idea of why?

Experienced it. I had two days of spotting only when I wiped on 13th to 14th June. Thought it was implantation bleeding and blew so much cash on preg tests when I thought my period was late but kept getting BFNs. I then started charting my BBT because I got fed up of just waiting - I wanted to see what was up with my cycle as I've just come off of birth control but already had one full period (not withdrawal bleed) the month before so couldn't understand where my period went!

I then  punched in the two days of spotting on the 13th and 14th as my period and.. hey presto! My temps seem to match with Glow's predictor. I had spotting on the 20th and 21st of June but I put that down to having an over enthusiastic nurse do my pap smear on the 20th... ouch! I suggest maybe starting to chart your BBT for a bit more piece of mind if you're getting irregular and you want to double check to see if it's a period or not. It's simple, quite easy and cheaper than blowing through oodles of preggo tests because Aunt Flo doesn't show up when you thought she would.
