So I feel really uncomfortable with the whole “baby shower, all girls, all attention on me” thing. So I’m thinking about a big gathering of both families, coed. Like a potluck/cookout style.

However my main concern is my due date, December 30th. I know showers don’t typically happen until just a few weeks before, and something like this would need to take place outside or at least partly outside. I live in Michigan where weather is totally unpredictable, up until mid April it was cold and gross and the last few weeks have been high 90’s. I’d thought about October, because at least there wont be snow. But October also doesn’t guarantee nice enough weather for “outside events”. Would September be too early for an end of December baby?
