On the highest dose of a class c anti-thyroid med (PTU)

Now at 12 wks baby has 4.7 cystic hygroma.

CVS going to be done soon as possible.

Yes I’m pro choice. I’m in the medical field. I have poor health. I can’t have this baby come into this world to just be a money maker for hospitals and doctors ... then I die and then what... a home. I know this sound extremely pessimistic but I already had the genetic chance of giving my child my marfans syndrome, then chance of defects from PTU, plus the thyroid levels exposure ... now this. A 56% chance of defect, 10% chance of survival and 3% chance this hygroma will self resolve ... I don’t know what to think it’s too much. The doctor wants me to do the CVS and make a decision so I can effectively treat my hyperthyroidism. Thankfully I had not trouble conceiving our first baby girl but I’m devastated, mad, hopeless and defeated. Just give me your experiences .. good or bad. I just need to be informed.

I’ve seen and know too much. I just want factual outcomes for those who have been through this.
