So, I’m 17 and my boyfriend is 16. We’ve been dating for almost 3 years and he makes me very happy.......BUT he’s never bought me anything besides food. I’m really not trying to come off as a gold digger because I don’t want him for his money (He’s got a job). It’s just I’ve always wanted to be spoiled by my boyfriend, and what girl doesn’t? I see all my friends getting nice things from their boyfriends and is hard not to want the same thing. I’ve been such a good girlfriend to him and I really think I deserve to be spoiled by him at least for once. He keeps giving me this bullshit excuse about how he’s saving to get an apartment for us when he’s able. But I don’t think that’s the case because every time he gets a paycheck he spends it all on himself. I know if I had a job I’d be eager to spend my money on him in a heartbeat. Why won’t he do the same for me? I’m a senior this year and I’ll be very busy with school activities which is why I haven’t gotten one myself or I wouldn’t even be writing this. Should I stop talking to him about it and suck it up and wait til I get a job to spoil myself or should I speak up? If there are any job suggestions for busy seniors please let me know.
