Crime book recommendations?

I love murder mystery/thriller type books, love it when there's a good twist as I'm always trying to solve the puzzle!

I love learning in depth about the characters, and enjoy a good love story in the background. I'm not very mushy and usually only like a chick flick if it's really funny, but I guess my inner 'girl' hasn't come out for a while 😁

I've not read a book for ages (was an addict up until I had a baby and got too tired) so I need something I can't put down to get me hooked again.

Doesn't have to be new, will probably just buy it on eBay as my library is being refurbished.
