I want to FEEL/look like myself again!
Has anyone been successful in losing 50 pounds in a healthy way in 2 months? I took nutrition and health classes in high school and college (not too recently), but I’ve never struggled with weight until now and I just feel like communities like this are, at times, more current than textbooks. I’m trying to lose weight before ttc, as well as for myself and my physical/emotional well-being. Aaaand my sister is getting married in 2 months and I’d just like to look like myself again, feel healthy, and be confident in my own skin again. Any tips, ideas, experiences, or weight loss transformations to help/encourage me?
A quick version of my story:
I’ve always been small and underweight due to medical reasons, but ever since I got on/off birth control and it messed up my hormones, I’ve gained 50 pounds in a very short amount of time. This is my first experience with rapid and unexplained weight gain. I also never had acne in high school or anything, but get major stress breakouts now with extremely painful, boil-like acne everywhere. My birth control turned me into a monster (I’m a pretty chill person and a big peacemaker, so it was an obvious difference). When I went off bc I felt so much better emotionally and a lot better physically at first, but now I’m a bit discouraged because of the weight gain and the return of my excruciatingly painful monthly period process. I just want to be healthy and cultivate a body that will be a safe place to carry a baby, you know? I do want to feel like myself again, but I also just want to be there for my loved ones and future little ones. Please help if you can!
