I started a pack of pills awhile ago that was a brand that didn't agree with me, and had a period for three weeks. I stuck to it and my period finally levelled out but I got too many other side effects (nausea/stomach irritation, mood swings, acne, etc.) and changed pills.
Give it some time (3-5 months) and if you have side effects, change brands.
