Growth scan vaginal ultrasound

At my 20 week anatomy scan they also did an internal ultrasound to check length of cervix. It was requested I come back at 28 weeks for a growth scan and bc they couldn’t get a good look at the spine. My appt is this Friday (ended up being 29+3 weeks because of scheduling conflict) and I’m just wondering if I should expect to have another internal exam to check cervix? Ive been having some cramping and lots of Braxton-Hicks and weird throbbing pain in vagina the past couple days so was hoping they will be checking for peace of mind.
