You should have put another name as the example. There’s no way I can pick anything other than Mary-Kate on this one. Lol
But I probably do prefer the hyphen for most.

I don't like the look of the hyphen or 2 names put together. So I have the space in between. But in my experience, everyone will try to call your child by the first part only and you and your child will have to correct them, so most people end up writing it with the hyphen to remember  (eg his teachers at school) and I don't correct them when they do that. If it's going to bug you having to correct them, then do the hyphen or put them together.
