Husband away for birth

Hello everyone- I’m sorry if I’m posting in the wrong group but I have no one who is in a similar situation and thought military partners might be best to understand.

My husband is becoming a police officer and is going away for 5 months of training. Unfortunately this overlaps with the birth of our first born. I feel there are so many logistics to figure out as I don’t have a support system around me. Do I move home while he is away In case I go into labour (3hrs away). Who will check on my house, my cat, open my mail for bills?

If I stay where I am, no one needs to check on the above things but I’ll be giving birth alone and by myself. What if there are complications? I’m so confused and have no friends that are going through this.

What are you doing? How are you coping and going through it?
