Just a little bit of what’s on my mind

I’m really bothered by the fact that my parents think my boyfriend will “come out of the closet” someday. We’ve been dating for a year and there’s nothing gay about him! He’s really geeky, well kept because he’s forced to and he’s not that into sports and he doesn’t really talk back to his mom because she’s an intense woman (he’s 18) and she could kick him out if he breathes wrong. To my parents that seems “unmanly”. It makes me sad that they think that way and I’m not sure what to do. I know that I’m the one that’s dating him but I just don’t like that they think of him that way you know?

He’s someone I’m happy with, he’s my best friend. He’s so much to me. I don’t like to think about the future but I hope he’s someone that lasts. I get that I’m young and stuff but when I’m with him, I know that he’s who I’m supposed to be with.
