belly piercings?

i really want to get a belly piercing because they’re super cute! but i’ve heard they’re also super prone to infections, so does anyone have tips on the proper care of a belly piercing?

clean it with the things your piercer provides and how often he or she says and the soap they recommend. avoid you or anyone hitting or playing with it. keep things that rub against it off like high waisted jeans or long sweaters that can get caught. i have had mine pierced twice and only got infected once. they’re easy to care for if you go about it as directed

Soak it 1-2 times a day with warm water and sea salt(it’ll sting but trust me it’s good for your piercing) and also use antibacterial soap like dial  2-3 times a day and the easiest way I cleaned mine for whenever I did it while I wasn’t it the shower was get a qtip and wet it and rub it on the soap after you run some water over the soap and just clean the openings and all inside your belly button. And this usually isn’t suggested by some piercers but I used a couple of sprays of bactine whenever my piercing would get sore

I've had my belly button pierced for 8+ years and mine has never been infected. Just clean it like your piercer tells you to and you should be fine. And if it by chance it does become infected, I highly recommend H2Ocean spray. you can get it from Wal-Mart!
