Did you have a gender reveal for a 2nd+ child?

Okay so hubby and I have thought about doing a gender reveal for baby #2. Nothing fancy just immediate family over to find out. And we thought it would be fun to involve our 21 month old in it too.
We did not do a reveal party for our daughter because our work schedules never lined up and we would have to keep the gender a secret for 2 months from everyone.
When I mentioned this to my sister/family they all think it's dumb for us to have one since we did not with our first. So now I feel stupid for even mentioning it. Especially since it would only be them at our reveal.....

I think they’re fun regardless of what baby you’re on!  Plus you didn’t do it with your first and I think you should experience it, it’s super fun and exciting! I say do it 😊😊

I didn’t with my first, but we had a baby shower. For my second I did not want a baby shower, we are having another boy and only 18 months after our first so there’s nothing we really need, but a gender reveal seemed like a fun way to celebrate this baby (without gifts). The only reason we didn’t is because the timing just didn’t work.

I’m having a gender reveal BECAUSE we missed out on it w our first two. I was in such shock that I was having twins that when my Grandma asked about the gender I completely forgot we didn’t want to know. Soooo, baby #2 hopefully will have one 😂

No I didn’t with my first either. Personally my husband and I don’t like the attention and it’s gets to be way too much for us and people all these different parties now. Having a baby was enough for us and we figured why make people do multiple things.

How rude! If you want to do a gender reveal, then you most certainly should! We only get the opportunity to do these things a few times in our lives, and each of our children are special. Why doesn’t this one deserve a reveal party if your schedule allows this time?? I did one with my first, and will do one with this one that’s on the way. If your sister thinks it’s dumb, she doesn’t have to participate.

I think gender reveals are completely unnecessary. If your family feels the same, they're allowed to! I wouldn't bother if none of them care.

We did a gender reveal in the ICU when my son had surgery and let him open the box! My mom took the envelope down to the gift shop and they helped her pick out balloons and gave her a box. FaceTimed some family while we did it too... wanted to do it at home but my fiancé is working out of state so this was second best. I think it’s fun and just another reason to celebrate! I plan on doing it with our next child too!

I didn’t have one for my first. I didn’t even start hearing about them till after I found out the sex of my first child so with this pregnancy I definitely had one and I didn’t care what anyone thought. If they showed up, great. If not, 🤷‍♀️ oh well. Lol you should have one and enjoy every part of this pregnancy and celebrate it as if it’s your first because every pregnancy is special not just the first. 😊 congratulations!! 🎉🎊
