Cup and Pad?

So I've been using a cup for 7 months now and it is the best decision I have made, but I was wondering if anyone else also uses a pad as back up in case it leaks on like heavy days?

I use a single liner all day just in case. I’m going to invest in reusable ones once the ones I bought are finished up.

I've been using a panti liner in conjunction with my cup, but I think I want to invest in a couple pairs of period undies instead- less waste and less money spent over time.

I use tampons but I run into a similar problem. You should try Thinx period underwear! They are thin like regular underwear/panty liners, not bulky like a pad. They can absorb 3ish regular tampons worth of blood. They can really save you from a spill ( I have a heavy flow and they’ve helped me out) or you can use them overnight. I use them with a tampon for heavy days and without for light ones. They come in almost any style: boyshort, sport, thong, etc. They are kinda expensive, but 3/4 pairs cost less than a years worth of pads so 🤷‍♀️. They are reusable, just throw them in a washing machine. They’re really great if your having trouble with overflow! :)

Yes. I like to use the liners from Lunapads or the undies from Dear Kate as a backup especially on heavy days.

I would definitely recommend a pad as backup if your new or trying a new cup... Im currently at work with a cup that won't open and is currently useless.. If I wasn't waring a pad I would have had to go home.
