took Nuva ring out early?

So I took my nuva ring out early (2 days ago) and my period would be coming next week. I had rough sex which led my ring to practically come out and was uncomfortable so I just decided to take it out. (🤦🏼‍♀️) I’ve never done this before so I don’t know what to expect. I’ve been getting cramps, diarrhea, my normal “period” symptoms but no period still. I took an early pregnancy test to make sure as well and it came back negative! So my question is has anyone gone through this before? Should I call my gyno and have them send me a new one to my pharmacy and just “skip” the period or should I try and see if my period will come?
