Air Force Doctor?

Question

I’m trying to decide to go to the family physician  on base or seek a private physician, obstetrician or midwife. Any military spouses that have some suggestions or advice, or any tips for Tricare? Thank you!

My brother was in the navy but his wife suffered two miscarriages and at least one was later to be determined due to military medical negligence (as she never received or was even informed of the rhogam shot after her first loss). I also have a lot of friends (and patients from when I was working in OBGYN) that steer clear of it due to their experiences. I live near Patrick AFB so that’s the only Air Force base I know of having horrible doctors. 
I’m sure there are those with good experiences as well. And if you’re on a different base I can’t really speak to how they operate. The private and public clinics I worked at both accepted Tricare.

Make sure you get a referral from your pcm and talk to them on what your options are! Do you have prime or standard?
