How to show my bf I’m not in it for money

Today I was thinking about our relationship and I realized that we usually only go out for dates that involve spending money. He doesn’t complain or anything but i want to do something that doesn’t involve spending his money. Here are the issues tho: we can’t hang out at his place because his friends are always there. I can’t spend my own money because he doesn’t let me- anytime I want to pay for something (even if it’s mine), he moves my hand or removes the money from the counter and pays. He says it doesn’t feel right. I want to do this because thinking about it made ME feel like I was a gold digger or just want to spend his money lol.. maybe I’m thinking too deep into it but still

Any ideas?
