Nope. Being financially responsible is a big part of being an adult. If you don’t know how to manage your money, you’re going to screw yourself (and your spouse) over and have a harder time in life

Nope. I think everyone that can work can be financially independent. My bf were in debt when we started dating and I lend him a lot of money but i wanted to see his process. I supported him by saying that he can work with my brother, by ideas how to get money and how not to spend so much money and he did great job so I'm proud of him 😁
My ex on the other hand was totally different story! He was 7years older. So 23 or 24 when we started dating. He left his college and as he said he wanted a half year break. Well that half year break lasted for 2 and half years until I broke up with him (still doesn't work or study - he's 30 now). I was in high school back then and I was looking for a job for him, but he didn't even want to hear anything about work so yea.. Kinda depends of what person has in mind and thinks of it' future.

If they have opportunity to learn and grow, I don’t see why you wouldn’t give them the chance. I feel like that’s what dating is for. You can see fairly early on if they are just lacking knowledge on how to handle money or if they’re just irresponsible. If they can’t, then it might not be a good idea. Y’all share wealth and debt.
